About the event
Please note this class is part of an ongoing course of study for persons wishing to enter into serious practice of Japanese tea ceremony. It is not a demonstration or “tea ceremony experience” for one-time visitors. (Please see our calendar for other events when you can come to watch tea ceremony and enjoy drinking matcha with us.)
The formal training includes sitting in and rising from seiza (Japanese style, kneeling on the floor). If your physical condition does not allow this, please let us know; there are other forms we can teach you.
